Second International Meeting on TRACE Project, Corinth, Greece

The 2nd international partner meeting on the EU project Traditional Children’s Stories for a Common Future – TRACE was held in Corinth, Greece, September 11-12, 2019 organized by the University of Peloponnese.

The meeting was attended by all partners : National and University Library in Zagreb (Croatia), Association for supporting of informal education, critical thinking and philosophy in practice “Petit Philosophy” (Croatia), Primary school “Josip Pupačić” (Croatia), Association Creative Ideas (Latvia), Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies (FUNDEA) (Spain), and the University of the Peloponnese (Greece).

The meeting discussed the progress of the Project that was made in months 1-12, submitted a report on dissemination, revised all activities in intellectual outputs and agreed on further activities in Project.

Details:

A brief overview of finnished activities has been given: A1 – Research of traditional children stories and A2 – Selecting stories. We are happy to report that 21 traditional children stories had been selected.

Detailed timetable has been made for the following activities together with each partner responsibilities : A3 – Translation of selected stories; A4 – Creating workshops for each story;  A5 – Creating Guidelines for teachers; A6 – Piloting stories;  A7 – Evaluation of piloting ; A8 – Final – Educational Package created and translated.

According to the project activities timetable, activities in iO2 E-platform started in September 2019 . A brief description of the work on the structure of the E-platform has been given – find the best solution for parallel display of the stories, enable metadata for each story, etc.

The details of the Short-term joint staff training event has been presented where we will be trained how to use all parts of iO1- TRACE Educational Package and how to implement this in formal and non-formal educational institutions. The Event will be held in Zadar in April 2020.

Also, dates for the following multiplier events were discussed.

The 3rd (last) project meeting will be in Granada, Spain in the beginning of the July.

We are happy to announce that the project is running smoothly.  We would also like to thank our partners from UoP, especially Despina, Evi and Aikaterini for their hospitality and for organising our free time with wonderful activities.
