Rudzātu pagasta dravnieki to parādību, ka bites ņem medu no sarkanā āboliņa, vijgriezēm un dzeltenā dedestiņa, izskaidro šādi: kad Dievs bija radījis zemi un kukaiņus, tad viņš teicis bitei, lai tā ejot un palūkojot, kura puķe visvairāk medu dodot. | The beekeepers from the Rudzati parish explain the fact that bees do not suck honey from the red clover, the meadow-sweet and from the meadow wetchling in the following way - when the God had created the Earth and the insects, he told the bee to go and find out which flower gives the greatest yield of honey. |
Bite aizskrējusi – visas puķes aplūkojusi. Izrādījies, ka sarkanais āboliņš, vijgriezis un dzeltenais dedestiņš dodot visvairāk medu. Bite pārnākusi mājās. Dievs prasījis, kuras puķes dodot vislabāko medu. | The bee flew away to inspect all flowers. It turned out that the red clover, the meadow-sweet and the meadow wetchling gave the most honey. When the bee returned home God enquired which flowers give the most honey. |
Bite atbildējusi, ka visas puķes dodot, izņemot jau iepriekš minētās. Bet Dievs labāk zinājis un kā sodu par melošanu bitei aizliedzis ņemt medu no sarkanā āboliņa, vijgriezēm un dzeltenā dedestiņa. | However, the God knew better and forbade the bee to suck honey from the red clover, the meadow-sweet and from the meadow wetchling as a punishment for her lying. |

El castigo de la abeja por mentir
Los apicultores de la parroquia de Rudzati cuentan que las abejas no extraen la miel del trébol rojo, de la ulmaria ni de la arveja de campo, ya que cuando Dios creó la Tierra y los insectos, les dijo a las abejas que fuesen y encontrasen qué flor da la mejor cosecha de miel.
La abeja echo a volar para inspeccionar todas las flores. Resultó que el trébol rojo, la ulmaria y la arveja de campo eran las que más miel daban. Cuando la abeja regresó, Dios le preguntó qué flores eran las que daban más miel. La abeja respondió que todas las flores daban una buena cosecha de miel, a excepción de las mencionadas anteriormente.
Así pues, la abeja mintió porque quiso esconder las flores más provechosas. No obstante, Dios era más listo y le prohibió a la abeja extraer miel del trébol rojo, la ulmaria y la arveja de campo como castigo por haber mentido.

Η μέλισσα τιμωρείται επειδή είπε ψέματα
Οι μελισσοκόμοι από την ενορία Rudzati εξηγούν το γεγονός ότι οι μέλισσες δεν πιπιλίζουν το μέλι από το κόκκινο τριφύλλι, το γλυκό λιβάδι και από το υγρό λιβάδι κατά τον ακόλουθο τρόπο (ως εξής) : – όταν ο Θεός δημιούργησε τη Γη και τα έντομα, είπε στη μέλισσα να πάει και να ανακαλύψει ποιο λουλούδι δίνει τη μεγαλύτερη απόδοση του μελιού.
Η μέλισσα πέταξε μακριά να εξετάσει όλα τα λουλούδια. Αποδείχθηκε ότι το κόκκινο τριφύλλι, το γλυκό λιβάδι και το υγρό λιβάδι έδωσαν το περισσότερο μέλι. Όταν η μέλισσα επέστρεψε στο σπίτι, ο Θεός ρώτησε ποια λουλούδια δίνουν το περισσότερο μέλι.
Η μέλισσα απάντησε ότι όλα τα λουλούδια έδιναν καλή ποσότητα μελιού εκτός από εκείνες που αναφέρθηκαν παραπάνω. Όμως, η μέλισσα είπε ένα ψέμα γιατί ήθελε να κρύψει τα πιο αποδοτικά λουλούδια.
Ωστόσο ο Θεός ήξερε καλύτερα και απαγόρευσε στη μέλισσα να πιει το μέλι από το κόκκινο τριφύλλι, το γλυκό λιβάδι και από το υγρό λιβάδι σαν τιμωρία για το ψέμα της.

Kako je pčela kažnjena za laž
Medari iz župe Rudzati na ovaj način objašnjavaju činjenicu da pčele ne prikupljaju med s crvene djeteline, prave končare i livadne kukavičice – kada je Bog stvorio zemlju i kukce, rekao je pčeli da ide izvidjeti koji cvijet daje najveći prinos meda.
Pčela je odletjela ispitati sve cvjetove. Ispalo je da crvena djetelina, prava končara i livadna kukavičica daju najviše meda. Kada se pčela vratila kući, Bog je upita koji cvijet daje najviše meda. Pčela je odgovorila da svi cvjetovi daju dobar prinos meda osim ovih gore navedenih. Pčela je slagala jer je htjela sakriti najunosnije cvijeće.
No Boga se ne može nadmudriti, pa je zabranio pčeli da sakuplja med s crvene djeteline, prave končare i livadne kukavičice da je kazni što je lagala.
